Day 2 - fixtures

Following an early start, we headed off to Trinidad's national sport's complex where we were welcomed by Trinidad's well-known hospitality. Latymer's three netball teams played six Trinidad local teams in a series of tough matches, winning a grand total of 4, drawing one and losing the incredibly close final match by a meagre margin of two goals. As we were all struggling in the heat, the constant encouragement and motivation from our two coaches, Miss Seaton and Miss Monahan, kept us going! The most valuable player awards went to Yasmin, chloe and caroline and the player of the series was awarded to Caterina.

Latymer's hockey team played two tough matches against some fierce Trinidad competition. Unfortunately we lost the first one, but we were proud of how we gelled being the first time many of us had played together. Despite the 33 degree heat and high humidity in the second game we still managed to acquire a draw. Especially thanks to the power coaching couple of Miss Snooks and Mrs Foster! The most valuable player awards were given to Maria, Sophia and the player of the series to Priya.

What a great start to the tour, we hear we are doing steel drumming tomorrow!

Look out for the next tour update!
