Day 1

We arrived at London Gatwick on Friday morning, all excited and anticipating the week ahead. Whilst queuing to check our bags in, we were surprised with Trinidad- themed  goodie bags which contained a Trinidad flag key ring, a union jack sweatband (which in 33 degrees heat was essential!) and a few other goodies to keep us going on the 9 hour flight ahead. At 5 o'clock the Latymer team touched down in Port of Spain, where we quickly experienced the heat we were going to be playing in which was a shock to the system!
Latymer's team boarded a coach and eagerly awaited the arrival at The Cascadia hotel which we heard might even have a super tube waterslide!
After a quick dinner and our first taster of Trinidad's delicacies, we went to sleep, looking forward to our first day in the heart of Trinidad.
